Elaine was born and raised in the Kamloops area and is an accomplished elite athlete. At the age of 15 she moved away from home to pursue a career in hockey at a private hockey academy. She was recruited by Minnesota State University on a 4-year hockey scholarship where she earned a Business Management Degree. In her Senior year at University, she was recruited by the track and field team and offered a 5th year on scholarship to compete in the 100 meter dash and 4 x 100 relay. After graduation she returned to Canada and enrolled in the RMT program, completeing her Bachelor of Health Science Degree at the same time. With her dual degree and massage therapy knowledge, Elaine has opened and operated 3 clinics, Kinetic Energy being her most recent venture. 

Being actively involved in sport and competition Elaine has repeatedly pushed her body to its limit and is no stranger to injury and ailments. Her unique assortment of talents and experience blend to provide a wealth of services to her clients, as she understands the rehab process and techniques needed to speed up recovery.  

 

Elaine has received certification in Deep Tissue Massage, Therapeutic Hot-Stone Massage, Athletic Taping, Pre and Post Natal Massage, Functional Release and Table Thai Stretching Massage. She draws from a combination of Swedish Techniques, Myofascial Therapy, Active Release Techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, and Deep Tissue as needed. Her practice is centered around injury rehabilitation and stress management.

 

Outside of work Elaine competes on Team Canada as a sponsored downhill ice cross athlete and has raced in Redbull's Crashed Ice Events since 2012, reaching the podium 11 times. When she isn't working or racing you can find her on her mountain bike or spending time with family and friends.
